After a recent trip to Berlin, I searched my local library for books about Berlin. I was lucky enough to find a copy of The House at the Bridge: A Story of Modern Germany
By an odd coincidence, I had visited the Glienicke Brücke and had stood only yards from the Villa.I read the book in a matter of days and was so excited that I wanted to know more. I sent e-mail to Katie Hafner telling her how much I enjoyed the book and through further correspondence we decided to do this web site.
Unfortunately in today's publishing climate, quality books go out of print within months of their publishing date. Fortunately, we were able to make arrangements so that the book will be available through amazon.com.
